recalled by defendants was examined in chief by Mr. Black and testified as follows:
Q You have already been sworn?
A Yes.
Q On the night of May 4th, 1886, did you see Parsons in company with any person or persons before the speaking commenced?
A Yes.
Q At what point?
A On the corner of Halstead and Randolph.
Q Who was with you at that time, if you remember?
A Mr. Owen of the times.
Q Who was with Parsons?
A There was Mrs. Parsons and two children.
Q Did you know who the children were, whether they were Mr. Parsons' children?
A I didn't know them, no sir.
Q Were they little children?
A Yes, very little, five or six years, perhaps less.
Q Parsons at that point took a car Eastward bound?
A Yes sir.
MR. INGHAM: Q. What time was that?
A That must have been between half past seven and eight o'clock.
