Q MR. GUASS, DID YOU READ THE TRANSLATION OF THE NOTICE YESTERDAY TO THE JURY, THIS NOTICE ABOUT THE HAYMARKET MEETING?

A I DID

Q YOU TRANSLATED IT, DID YOU?

A YES SIR.

Q MY UNDERSTANDING WAS YOU LOOKED AT IT, AND SAID IT WAS THE SAME AS THE ENGLISH PORTION OF THE CIRCULAR WITH THT LINE LEFT OUT, BUT DIDN'T READ IT?

A I HAVE AN IMPRESSION I DID READ IT AT THE TIME.

MR. INGHAM: HE TRANSLATED IT.

MR. BLACK: IT CAN BE CONSIDER AS IN.

MR. ZEISLER: THE ARBEITER ZEITUNG OF MAY 4TH WAS PUT IN EVIDENCE BY THE STATE.

THE COURT: THE TRANSLATION OF THAT NOTICE AND A GOOD MANY OTHER TRANSLATIONS HAVE BEEN PUT IN.

MR. BLACK: WE PUT IN THE TRANSLATION OF THAT NOTICE, I THINK THE STATE DID NOT.
