PEOPLE'S EX.103.

January 24th, 1885.

"Under the heading of editorial notices.

"The police now pretend to have discovered that Funk was a socialist, and that he had often made incendiary speeches at socialistic meetings. The latter is untrue. Mr% Funk is not known to us, that he is a socialist may be. If he is a comrade we only regret that he did not cause the Arson Gang to take a little trip into the upper regions, by his touching of the wire. That would have been very healthy according to our opinion for that coterie, which never moves in mud and dirt--the Aetna Powder Company tells our reporter there was no dynamite, but only some blasting powder, in that little box."
