Direct Examination
by Mr. GRINNELL.
Q What is that?
A That is a map of the rear building of 442 Sedgwick Street.
Q Which floor?
A The middle floor.
Q Is it a scale drawing?
A A scale drawing---a quarter of an inch to the foot.
Q Where is the street?
A Out this way (indicating).
Q That is the front of the building (indicating)?
A Yes.
Q How did you get to the second floor?
A Right through here (indicating).
Q What is this?
A The kitchen; here is the bedroom and here is the closet off of that; there is a bedroom.
Q That is the City of Chicago, County of Cook and State of Illinois?
A Yes.

Q The drawings and measurements were made by yourself?
A Yes.
Q That is the second floor, is it?
A Yes.
Q You say that the front of those rooms stood back 95 feet from Sedgwick street?
A Yes.
Q There is a space between the front house and the rear house?
A Yes.
Q That is the house that is on the rear of the house coming back to the alley?
A Yes; the back fronts to the alley.
