Rectangular banner. "Brotherhood/of/Painters & Decorators" embroidered in gold thread on red silk in top quarter of banner. At bottom of the scene is the word, "America," painted in blue. This banner is one of the few labor organization artifacts from the era of the Haymarket Affair in the collections of the Chicago Historical Society.
