Anarchist Publishing Association articles of agreement, 1886 Oct. 21. Holograph agreement in ink signed by the eight Haymarket defendants creating the Anarchist Publishing Association or Labor Press Association in consideration of the copyright of the speeches delivered at the Haymarket meeting and the defendants' speeches in court. It is hereby agreed that a publishing company to be known as the Anarchist Publishing Association or Labor Press Association be formed on the following basis. The capitol stock to consist of one hundred and fifty shares of ten dollars each. Ten paid up shares to be allotted to each of the eight defendants in the Anarchist trial to wit: Oscar Neebe, M Schwab, Samuel Fielden, A Fischer, G. Engel, Louis Lingg, A. R. Parsons and August Spies in consideration of the copyright of the speeches delivered at the Haymarket and in the courtroom as revised and corrected by them, and of whatever other publishing matter they may turn over to the Association. The remaining seventy shares to be issued at discretion, on ok of publication and distribution, by the secretary and treasurer of the association William H Jackson.
