| pennant | a triangular-shaped flag decorated with team logos; also the name for a baseball championship |
| scandal | when someone does something wrong on purpose that is discovered and talked about by many people |
| scrapbook | a blank book in which items such as newspaper clippings and pictures are kept and saved |
| testimony | to speak in a court of law |
| verdict | the decision of guilt or innocence that a jury makes at the end of a court case |
