1 baton: wood, brown; 15 1/4 in., 1 1/2" in. in diam.

Cylindrical wooden stick with ring turnings at one end forming hand grip. Incised parallel lines approximately 1/4" apart for 4 1/2" in recessed area. Flat knob at end, missing chip. Written on baton: 'Billy' from Haymarket Riot, May 4, 1886.
